  • The Board granted permission to Middle School Math Teacher Sheila Hansen for a student trip to Washington, D.C. to be held during the summer of 2019.  Ms. Hansen has opened the trip to Seventh Grade students who will begin fundraising efforts in the coming months.
  • Jim Kleine and Tom Cox informed the Board on the progress of our Track and Boys Tennis programs this Spring.  Other coaches submitted written reports to the Board due to competitions occurring Thursday evening.
  • Chris Johnston and Natalie Woodbury presented information on a restructure of our high school Spirit Squads.  As of now, the number of students interested in participating in Coquettes next year is not large enough to perform and compete.  Until such time enough interest exists, the high school will be suspending the Coquette program and offering the opportunity for additional Cheer Squad tryouts.
  • The Board voted to continue a longstanding relationship with Markel Specialty to serve as our provider of K-12 Student Accident Insurance.
  • The Board also approved an Amendment to Renew our Fixed Price Food Service Management Contract with OPAA for the 2018-19 school year.  OPAA has served more students this year than last with a 7% increase in breakfast participation and a 3% increase in lunch participation.
