Description
Mt. Vernon R-V Schools is seeking a Director of Maintenance to oversee the strategic planning, operations, and upkeep of all district facilities. This position is responsible for managing maintenance and some custodial staff, ensuring safe, efficient, and well-maintained buildings and grounds.

Requirements
Oversee daily maintenance operations and complete minor repairs in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, roofing, and grounds.
Process and prioritize maintenance and repair requests.
Conduct routine and periodic inspections of facilities and grounds.
Maintain inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies and equipment.
Direct and supervise the district’s integrated pest management program.
Assign duties, evaluate staff performance, provide training, and make hiring recommendations to the Superintendent.
Collect bids for major maintenance projects; collaborate with the Superintendent to select contractors and ensure quality work.
Prepare cost estimates and assist in developing maintenance budget priorities.
Oversee groundskeeping activities, including snow and ice removal as needed.
Maintain positive working relationships with administrators and staff.
Uphold Board policies, maintain confidentiality, and report concerns as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Broad knowledge or experience in building maintenance fields (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.).
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team effectively.

Salary
$50,000-$55,000 minimum, Salary based on experience
