In a Special Closed Executive Meeting on the evening of May 7, the Mount Vernon R-V Board of Education selected Natalie Woodbury as the next principal of Mount Vernon Elementary School beginning in the 2025-26 academic year. After two years in the Miller School District, Mrs. Woodbury joined the Mount Vernon School District as a Sixth Grade Science Teacher in 2014 and spent eight years in that position at MVMS. In 2022, Mrs. Woodbury became the Director of Early Learning and has been the leader of the Early Learning Center for the past three years.
Mrs. Woodbury earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University and a Master's Degree in School Administration from Lindenwood University in 2016.
Mrs. Woodbury is replacing Christina West, who was selected by the Board to serve as the next Superintendent of Mount Vernon Schools beginning next year.
