April Board Meeting

Board of Education Meeting, April 16, 2026

The Mt. Vernon R-V School District Board of Education met in regular session on April 16, 2026

Celebrations & Student Spotlights

  • MV-MVP Recognition: The board recognized the MVP for April, Mr. Eric Ireland.    Congratulations to Mr. Ireland, and thank you for the positive difference you make every day!

Eric advocates for his students and empowers them to excel. He shows compassion and helps the kids through hard times and helps them believe in themselves.

Eric brings positivity into his class and keeps his cool in challenging situations. Kids who have graduated still talk of how he changed their lives for the better.

Eric collaborates with all the teachers, finding the best ways to help the kids in his classes be successful. He is very knowledgeable and uses that knowledge to enhance his teaching.

We are sad he is retiring again! Eric has mentored many teachers and has grown his program well. He brings his expertise to the table and has helped so many. We will sure miss him!
